I found out the other day that I am going to be one of the new, and first, Job Ambassadors in Scotland for the Prince’s Trust!
I’m so excited and can’t wait to start working. The 1st October couldn’t come sooner.
Most of you are going to be wondering what is a Job Ambassador and I’m going to tell you a bit about it all…
The Job Ambassadors only started a few months ago in Birmingham, they got together a group of previous Young Ambassadors who have now started working with other young people through Job Centers, Youth Centers, on the streets etc. to help guide young people down the right path, whether that be going on a Prince’s Trust course, going to college, staying on in school or going to other organisations who can help there pacific needs.
Why have the Prince’s Trust asked us to do the job? Because we can relate to a lot of the youth today, we are young and therefore still know and/or have been through what they have so this will give us the knowledge to help them better.
The role of Job Ambassadors is now spreading all over the UK and is getting a great response. It is starting in Scotland on the 1st October. I cannot wait!
On Wednesday we had a small training/interview day to check that we where perfect for the job, during a break I walked out and didn’t think it was possible to be even more excited for the job.
Its going to be tough but its going to be great.
And don’t worry, I can still do Giggles & Tickles!
